You will want to Cleanse and Charge your Crystals. There are different methods to cleanse and charge your crystals. This can involve using sunlight, moonlight, saltwater, or various other techniques to clear their energy and enhance their properties. However, not all crystals can be placed in saltwater, sunlight and moonlight.
I recommend using White Sage Smudge sticks, Palo Santo and Selenite.
Smudging is a practice that has been used by various cultures for centuries as a way to cleanse and purify a space, object, or person. It involves burning certain herbs, typically white sage or other sacred plants, and using the smoke to clear negative energy.
Performing a Smudging Ritual
The most commonly used herb for smudging is white sage, but other options include cedar, sweetgrass, or palo santo. Choose the herb that resonates with you and your intentions.
Find a heat-resistant dish or shell to hold the smudging herbs while they burn. Traditionally, an abalone shell is used, but any dish that can safely contain the burning herbs will work. You will also need a large feather.
Before you begin, take a moment to set your intention for the smudging ceremony. Whether it's to cleanse a space, invite positive energy, or release negativity, clearly state your purpose in your mind.
Open windows and doors: To allow the negative energy to leave the space, open windows and doors before you begin smudging. This will create a pathway for the energy to exit.
Light the Smudge stick and let it burn for a few minutes. After it is burning good extinguish the flame. As the smoke starts to rise, fan them with a feather and create a steady stream of smoke. The smoke is what carries the cleansing properties, so it's important to keep it going throughout the ritual.
Allow the smoke to completely cover the crystals.
Visualize the negative energy leaving and positive energy replacing it.
Selenite is also a cleansing stone. You can leave your crystals on it overnight to clear negative energy.
Store your crystals properly. This can include small boxes, pouches, or display cases to keep them safe from damage and dust.
